One conversation can change it all....

Hi Carolyn,

I wanted to send you a message because of how I felt when I saw your text yesterday. I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your support.  I’m hard on myself; I learned that from a parent who was hard on me. Despite all the thinking I do, I still have a hard time giving myself a break without judging myself.  You have always gone out of your way to support me in being more fit and eating better – even working with me on your holidays and allowing me to come late in the day.  You never judge me and you encourage me to look after myself.  All this and you don’t let me off the hook or go easy on me (which I would love, but know would be a waste of my time).

I don’t know how you have found that balance but I am so grateful for your support and encouragement. I haven’t had many people in my life who always give me the benefit of the doubt and treat me like I am doing the best that I can.

I think these are rare traits and I’m so glad to know someone with them.  I feel lucky to have met you and am so appreciative of all you do for me.

Thank you….

J Anderson
